Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
1. In EV_defaults_in file, cargo mass is changed to 500 kg and simulated for FTP drive cycle.FTP drive cycle has a total distance range of 17.8KM and has a max speed of 85 to 90kpha at instances. After simulation it is clearly observed that vehicle can attain speeds above 45KMPH from KM/H Vs Time graph. Since cyc_kph_reqested is overlapping(means no deviation) with actual vehical speed.
However this is at 100% charged battery. When the distance travelled is increased by modifing the no of cycles, to view the graph at discharged battery state deviation observed but still more than requested 45kmph. Screen shots attached.
2. In EV_defaults_in file, when battery capacity is increased by changing default battery ESS_PB25 to ESS_PB104. The overall weight of the vehicle increased by 500KG. The range of the vehicle is increased for the same same drive cycle to 124KM and during this tenure there is no deviation in cyc_kph_reqested with actual vehical speed. Screenshot attached.
3.Gradeability test conducted PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in model.By checking gradeability test we can modify gradient, speed and time duration. here we have modified speed and the max. possible gradience that can allowed to achieve this speed. Results are in excel file. The same can be done by changing gradient value but ma speed that can be attained is not shown
