REPORT ON HOOD MODEL

OBJECTIVE:

• To clean the geometry of the hood and the mesh the geometry with certain element . the different parameter for mesh quality are set to check the quality of the mesh.

PROCEDURE:

• Import the geometry into the ANSA and unselect the macro options and delete the extra entities
• The outer hood is separated using the not tool and topological errors in inner hood
• The unchecked faces and needle faces are connected using the auto fix option available in ANSA and other errors are corrected using the different tool in the topology mode ,paste(joints together) or more cons.
• New under face ,topology ,delete are key elements used
• The midplane of inner hood is formed by using offset tool, best automatically mesh macro areas using all alternative meshing.
• Transform-copy-symmetry
• Surface check is used for the FEA mode and values for quality criteria is provided.

CONCLUSION:

• The topology of the given geometry is cleaned and the mid plane og the inner hood is formed and meshed .the quality criteria is the mesh are checked by setting the parameter and errors are cleaned.
