Week - 2 - Explicit and Implicit Analysis

implicit method

This method finds a sloution by solving an equation that includes both the current and later stages of the given system.Implicit methods are used when the events are much slower and the effects od strain rates are minimal.It takes more time.Thus increases the cost of computation.Implicit is more accurate than explicit.

Explicit method

This method is used to calculate the state of a given system at a different time from the current time.It is used when the strain rate is over 10 units per sec.It is less time consuming.Thus the costof computation will be small.It is used for dynamic problems.
