Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve

AIM : Surface meshing of pressure valve.

The required target length , 1, 3 and 5mm. and the rewuired element is tria.

1. TOPO CLEANUP:

The cleanup procedure is start with single cone and tripkle cone , there were many error which should we haave to solve such error were needle error concave and conv ex error, crack etc. Some times triple error is not error but it should take serious and check contact area so that there is ensurance that triple cone is meaning for that part.single cones are correct by topo and sometime using project it will depend on scenario at that time. Some times triple cones are solved easily bydeleting extra part. In complicated geometry forming surface may not work right way so there is need to form surface at bottom top and at side are closed using fill hole option. The triple cone formed after closing the surface and that triple con is due to three surface in contact . The final model after topo cleanup free from single cons and undesired triple cons .

2. PID ALLOCATION: PID is property ID which shows individual entities apply boundry conditions for CFD application. The required PIDs are as follows

3. MESHING:Small surfaces or cons or region b/w two nodes having length less than mesh length to be removed having no significance which result in mesh failure at that locarion by using cut.Meshing directly done for whole geometry when ever there were same mesh components length. The components can be mesh PID wise using spotmesh .Mesh is generated for three lengths 1,3 and 5 mmrespectively.

1mm

3mm

5mm

CONCLUSION:

The difference is not ignorable and we can say that the most fovourable measurement is 1mm to all of them. 1mm has high rate of accuracy in capturing shape of spring and another surface having no distortion of surface with respect to 5 mm.
