Week 2 Challenge

AIM: To model pedestal members, steel columns, and steel beams according to the given attachments.

PROCEDURE:

• Create a new file in TSD.
• Define construction levels according to the spacing between levels in attachment-1.

• Model Grids according to the attachment.

• Create new members according to specifications mentioned in assignment-1.
• Give parameters for the created members; PD1, C1, B1.

• Model pedestal members in base level with the given properties.

• Validate the model to check for errors.

• Model steel columns in the ground floor level with the given parameters.

• Validate the model to ensure there are zero errors.

• Model steel beams in the ground floor level with the given parameters.

• Validate the model to ensure that there are zero errors.

RESULT: A steel structural building with pedestal members at a base level, steel columns extending up to roof level, and steel beams at ground floor level is obtained as a model with zero errors.
