Week 2 Challenge
1.To Assign the circular section column
1.Open the STAAD Pro software and create the model in the software
2.Draw the nodes given below the deserved
3.Join the node by using add Beem option
4.Click on the properties and select define perameters as circular column of given radius
5.Assign the circular shape of the column
2.
We have two way in which we can assign the unit system to STAAD model file,
1.In initial stage, we can assign the unit by click on the option unit system and the we choose the unit system as matric and English and the can create a model
2.In the middle of the project, we can change the unit system is while working on the model so in order to change the unit system while working just goto the option file and then option called setting just click on that option then there will be option to change the units.
3.
1.The parameter to be specified while using the Bay Frame option are Length, Width, Height, no of the bays along with length, no of bay along with Width, no of bays along with Height
4.
Name few codal standard is incorporated for steel and concrete
1.For this steel the codal provition are IS800, IS800:2007, IS800:2007 WSD, IS801
2.For the concrete codal provition are IS456:2000.
5.
Go to design option and click on the define parameter and in design parameter the FC(Compressive strength)of RCC section is given us 21000kn/m2.
2)
1.
Geometry - The node location and node spacing are given by geometry
properties - The sectional properties of the section
Materials - Specify the properties of the material
Specification - The specification are given
Support - The End support is to be given
Loading - Need to provide loading pattern and loading compination
Analysis - Need to analysis modal and all the input specification are given
Design - The design are to be done.
2.
Fixed Support condition
1.Fixed support are restrained in all six degree of freedom
2.It does not contain spring constant.
Enforced Support Condition
1.Enforced support are also restrained in all six degree of freedom
2.It contain spring constant
3.When Enforced force are define the software consider these as spring of high stiffness to oppose the fixed support.
3.
1.The steps involved in analysis of a model are
*Before analysis the model of the load pattern and load combination are to be provided to the model
*Then go to analysis option
*Define command
*Select the data for the analysis of the model by perform analysis, delta analysis, Nonlinear analysis
*It depends upon the support conditions.
2.The two ways to model the structural frame work is
*Creating model by node by node
*Creating model by Bay Frame
3.There are five types of support condition
*Fixed - All the transitional and rotational displacement are restrained
*Pinned - Transitional displacement are restrained but rotational moment are not restrained
*Fixed But - It similar to pinned support it allows provide the degree of freedom to view the displacement either translation or rotational
*Enforced - It support are assigned to the structural the software allow the springs to itself and the displacement can be calculated. there is no provision to provide to the spring constant
*Enforced But - The software assign the spring itself with zero stiffness are high stiffness
4.
*After completion of slab is done by Node placement, the creation of plate used in stair case and by using generate mesh, The stress distribution for the staircase slab is done by viewing colour in slab of the design
5.
*After completion of the design the STAAD pro will automatically provide the BMD and SFD
*By enter to the post processing process click on ok
*By click the Beem result deflection command
*Click on the annotate, Select max BM you can see the value
*We see the SFD and BMD by graphically also
*For that click on layout select graph you can see that SFD and BMD graphically too.
