Week -2
Q1: Make a Simulink model of a Doorbell using a solenoid block

Working Principle:
Solenoid works on electromagnetism and has a ferromagnetic metal piston inside it.
when we supply electricity, an electromagnetic field is generated proportional to the current flowing.
This field pulls the metal piston to offer the least reluctance path for flux lines. This movement of the piston leads to the hitting of another metal bar on the bell and it creates sound.
As shown above, the most common components of the model are-
solver configuration
electrical and mechanical references
display, scope
Simulink to PS and PS to Simulink converters etc.
other components are specific to this application such as:
solenoid
motion sensor
input pulse generator.

Q 2. Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions
Answer:
Based on the input details given below, we created a Signal builder.
Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds
The requirement is:-
Fan conditions: ON if the temperature is above 25 °C, OFF otherwise

As shown above, the most common components of the model are-
solver configuration
electrical and thermal references
display, scope
Simulink to PS and PS to Simulink converters etc.
other components are specific to this application such as:
Controlled temperature source
Thermistor
Resistor with voltmeter across it
Battery
toggle switch, 0 and 1
Signal builder etc.
so as per temperature level, Fan is OFF(0) and ON(1) as below.
