Challenge

Week -2

  1. Make a Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block with the following details:

=>

In this project, we ON and OFF the door bell using Solenoid.

To turn on high current carrying output device required high current carrying switches but using solenoid we can use the low current carrying switches (low cast) to handle high current carrying devices.

Solenoid is elctromagnetic relay which is used to turn ON and OFF the device.

Model:

Steps:

1. Make Electrical circuit using Voltage source(1 V) , switch , Solenoid and Electrical reference.

2. Pulse generator is used for input pupose to ON & OFF the bell after 2 Sec.

Scope 1 is used to see the input

3. Before applying input singal to switch, convert into physical signal using Simulink-PS converter.

4. During ON condition, Voltage Source directly connected to the Solenoid and Solenoid Coil energies.

5. After Energies condition, door bell connected to circuit and creat sound.

6. Here, we used Ideal translational motion sensor to sense the translational motion and using PS- simulink converter shown the output in Scope.

7. Mechanical Translational refernece is used to complete the translational motion circuit.

8. Finally to run the circuit, solver configuration is used

Output:

2. Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per below conditions:

Thermistor is a resistor which resistance dependent upon the temperture.

There are two type of Thermistor : PTC and NTC

PTC : Resistance Directly proportional to temperature.

NTC : Resistance inversly proportional to temperature.

Model Explanation:

1. Differnet temperature input given using controlled temperature source with the help of repeating sequence stair.

2. Electrical Circuit Contain Battery, Thermistor , Resitance and Electrical reference.

3. As temp. change , resistance change and hence voltage change .

4. voltage change is sense using votlage sensor and accordingly FAN is ON and OFF.

5. Here we use scope , Switch and Lamp to Shown the Output.
