Door bell using solenoid:

A controlled switch block is used to turn ON/OFF of the solenoid, The switch block is controlled with the Signal genearator block with 4Sec time period and 50% duty.

As the solenoid is 50V rated the battery block vltage is set to 50V, and the movement of the solenoid valve is measured using the ideal translational motion sensor with initial position set to 5mm.

The output results attached as the PDF. The output with the oscillations is with ideal damping factor, after changing the damping factor to 6N/m/s, the oscillations reduced.

The voltage sensor block will measure the input of the solenoid valve coil voltage connected to scope1.

The valve movement is measured from scope.

Fan control:

The fan control simulation is named with file"W2_Manual_challenge_Temp".

The temperature of the controlled temperature source block can be set by th repititive sequnce block.

The repetitive sequence block output is connected to temperature source using Simulink to PS converter. The heating source is used to vary the temperature of the thermister. The voltage source used is the DC voltage source block with 5V. The resiatance of the theristor will vary with the temperature and the voltage at the divider 1KOHM and thermistor will vary. This will be compared by using a comparator with fixed voltage(using a resistor divider with 1KOHM and 1KOHM), The output of the comparator will trigger the mosfet. The comparator output will go low when temparature is greater and equal to 25degree. the

By replacing the Resistor block "Resistor3" with the Fan the fan can be turned ON/OFF based on the teperature.

A voltage sensor block is used to measure the output voltage of the comparator, simulation results attached.
