1.Simulink model of doorbell using solenoid block.

Solenoid is powered by 12V supply which is operated with the help of a switch.

Condition for swtiching: 2 seconds ON and 2 seconds OFF

To achieve this we have used a pulse generator and given as an input to the switch. So when the switch is operated it is closed for two seconds and open for two seconds.

Solenoid: when an electrical supply is provided as an input, the coil energises and experiences a magnetic force and there is a movement as a result of it.

When the solenoid receives the supply, The plunger causes the arm to hit the bell, which produces sound.

In this model, we have used translational motion sensor to determine the vibrations.

Ideal translational motion sensor:

The Ideal Translational Motion Sensor block represents a device that converts an across variable measured between two mechanical translational nodes into a control signal proportional to velocity or position. You can specify the initial position (offset) as a block parameter.

The sensor is ideal since it does not account for inertia, friction, delays, energy consumption, and so on.

2.Simulink model to sense the temperature of heater using thermistor

Condition:

The temperature source provides varied temperature values at different time stamps

0-10: 20deg

10-30:27deg

30-50:23deg

Fan ON above 25deg

The input of varied temperature range is given using a combination of signal builder and controlled temperature source.

this is given as an input to thermistor which senses the temperature and provides a corresponding voltage output. The voltage is measured using voltage sensor. There is a current limiting resistor used across the sensor. The out put is measured through scope.

To turn on the fan, we have used a switch which operates on a certain condition.i.e. it is closed when the voltage corresponding to 27 degrees is reached.otherwise which it is open. The output of this is also measured.
