AIM

To assemble and apply GD&T to the butterfly valve assembly drawing using CATIA V5

STEPS TO ASSEMBLE THE BUTTERFLY VALVE COMPONENTS IN ASSEMBLY WORKBENCH USING CATIA V5

STEP 1

• Go to "new" and create "product workbench" to assemble the components of butterfly valve.

STEP 2

• After creating the product workbench bring all the created components of butterfly valve for assembly for that use "existing components"option.

EXISTING COMPONENTS

STEP 3

• After uploading all the components use coincidence constraint to join and assemble the components.
• First start constraining with stem,disc plate and screws.

COINCIDENCE CONSTRAINT

STEP 4

• After constraining the stem,disc plate and screws
• Next constraint stem,disc plate and body

STEP 5

• Next constraint retainer with body and other parts.

STEP 6

• Next constraint lever with retainer and other parts.

STEP 7

• Next constraint nut with stem and lever and other parts.

• After assembling all the parts go to "drawing" option and apply GD&T as per the data.
