Week 14 challenge
For the butterfly valve assembly, the assembly workbench in UG NX software is utilized. In the assembly workbench first, all the part files were imported. After importing the parts would be scattered around. To move the parts close to each other, move component command is used. This command allows a part to move in any direction with dynamic movement.
Once the parts are put close to each other the constraints must be added. To constraint parts with respect to each other, the following commands are used in the assembly constraint command:
- Infer center/axis
- Touch
- Align
After constraining the parts the required assembly is obtained.
Finally, with the help of drafting workbench, the GD&T is applied to the assembly wherever needed.
