Week 12:Project 2-Meshing of Rear Wheel Holder challenge
Aim: To perform 2D meshing on the rear wheel holder with the given below Quality criteria
Target Element Length = 5 Units
| S.N | Quality Criteria | Value |
| 1 | Aspect Ratio | 5 |
| 2 | Skewness | 45 |
| 3 | Warping | 15 |
| 4 | Taper | 0.5 |
| 5 | Min. Length | 2 Units |
| 6 | Max. Length | 8 Units |
| 7 | Min angle Quad | 45 |
| 8 | Max angle Quad | 135 |
| 9 | Min angle Tria | 20 |
| 10 | Max angle Tria | 120 |
| 10 | Tria % | 10 |
Objective:To perform 2D meshing on the rear wheel holder with the above Quality criteria
Procedure:
1. The model was having some free edges on it so the edges were cleared using quick edit pannel
2. After cleaning the free edges the mid was extracted using offset option

Fig : Mid Surface
3. After midsurfacing the model was given manual geo clean up so as the features failing for min and max length are eliminated

Fig: Manual celanup
4.After geo cleanup the model was meshed and simultaneously the mesh flow was aligned by remeshing
Fig:Meshed model
5.After this the elements failing for Quality parameters were cleaned.
Fig: Zero off elements
6. After this the mesh was checked for free edges through the tools tab,the free edges in mesh were cleared though pasting and replacing nodes or by remeshing

Fig: Tools tab(edges) Fig : edges
7. Finally thicknes was asigned to the mesh according to model

Fig: Property asigned
Conclusion: Finally the model was meshed with consideration to quality parameters and free edges, and finally the thickness was asigned to model so it can be simulation ready
Learning Outcomes: Gained and experience to mesh the complex model and how to clear the elements failing for quality and how to extract mid manually
