Week 12- Final project
- AIM:-
- Development of a Door Trim panel
Creation of CAD model considering following inputs as like in OEM and tier1 companies
- a) Class A surface
- b) Nominal thickness : Refer master sections
- c) Attachment strategy :
Find a attachment strategy for the door panel complete work.
Use Push pin with Dog house for Lower substrate – Door panel attachment
Use heat stakes for part to part attachment.
- OBJECTIVES:-
- Make close surface from the A surface
- Then assemble the close surface
- Make dog house , heat stak
- MAKE CLOSE SURFACE FROM A SURFACE :-
STEPS IN MAKING CLOSE SURFACE AS FOLLOWS
TOOLING AXIS:- making tooling axis is first concept in C surface . tooling axis is done by using 2 method one is direct take point on flat surface and another is bisecting method. tooling axis is useful indraft analysis and making sweep by usin draft direction.
A SURFACE IMPROVMENT:- some time in A surface there is in continuaty or some extra part out . so fist to improve A surface and then move forward to B surface creation
B SURFACE CREATION :- after getting proper A surface make B surfce by using using it . first take offset of A surface inside it of 3mm mostly or thikness is require . after getting offset some surface are not offset so patch is there . then by using multisection Blend extract extrapole and trim fill the patch and last join all and the patch and offset and make propeB surface.
C SURFACE CREATION :- Make C surface by using sweep from boundry of A surface and then join sweep and A surface .
FINAL CLOSE SURFACE:- Trim the c surface from b surface and then oprn part design and make close surface.
C SURFACES OF GIVEN A SURFACE:-
ARM REST

BOTTLE HOLDER

DOOR ARMREST

LOWER SUBTRACT

- ASSEMBLY:-
After assembly its time to create mountings feature like dog house , heat stak by using mastersection
Mastersection:-
Mastersection is given at A surface to take thikness and mounting features.

in above image circle shows the dog house and heat stak
