Week 11 - Final project

Introduction

Door Trim. An interior component attached to the inner side of the door. This product does more than merely improve the appearance of the vehicle interior. Rather, it is a vital module component that creates a more comfortable interior by providing a variety of accouterments and functions.

Conditions to create the door trim panel

  • Create a closed body of the door trim panel using class A surface provided along with the master section.
  • Create a push pin with the dog house for the lower substrate.
  • Use heat stakes from part to part attachment.

Input in the form of Class A surface

Creation of class A, B, C along with the tooling direction and 2.5 mm thickness and 3 deg of drfaft angle

Engineering features in the B side surface

Created solid parts with 2.5mm thickness

iso-constrained sketches

Assembley of class A, B, C solid parts

Conclusion:

* Closed surface is crated with the reference of class A surface and folling the given master section.

* Closed body is created along with the engineering features.

* Draft analysis is preformed to check the surfaces of the model which does not clear the minimum draft angle.

* Finally assembley is created along with the engineering features in the B surface and final assembley is formed.
