class A surface of the interior of an automotive door is given and aim of the project is to create the class B and class C surface with respect to tooling axis
The given plastic parts are
- arm rest
- lower substrate
- bottle holder
First tooling axis is created for all the components, class B and class C surfaces are created, trimmed and converted into solid using Closed Surface command then dog house and heat stakes are provided
the arm rest is split into two parts and the parts are shown below

figure shows the arm rest
the bottle holder is split into two parts and the parts are shown below

figure shows the bottle holder

figure shows the lower substrate
The draft analysis of the above parts are shown below

Figure shows the draft analysis of the arm rest, bottle holder and lower substrate

Figure shows the mold cannot flow in the red region therefore and additional tooling axis is needed and it is called side core axis

by providing side core axis the area is cleared
Similarly side core axis is provided to all the components wherever needed.
the heat stakes and dog house is created and is mated in their respective positions with the help of boolean operation
