Week 11- Assembly Workbench
QUICK RETRUN MECHANISM:-
- A quick return mechanism is an apparatus to produce a reciprocating motion in which the time taken for travel in return stroke is less than in the forward stroke. It is driven by a circular motion source (typically a motor of some sort) and uses a system of links with three turning pairs and a sliding pair.
- Quick return is a common feature of tools in which the action is performed in only one direction of the stroke, such as shapers and powered saws because it allows less time to be spent on returning tool to its initial position.

There are 5 parts in the Quick Return Mechanism that are to be assembled. Those 5 parts are explained individually,
1.) 2-WING SUPPORT:-

2.) CYLINDRICAL STUD:-

3.) SWITCH HAMMER:-

4.) SPANNER PIPE:-

5.) CYLINDRICAL PILLAR:-

C V JOINT
Constant velocity joints, better known as CV joints, are found at the ends of the drive shafts. They are essential to connecting the drive shafts to the transmission and wheels. Because of their function and location, these joints easily wear out over time. They can even break. To ensure that you understand the importance of them, it helps to know a little more about what they do and what happens when something goes wrong with them. There are two types of CV Joints. The Cardinal, which is usually found in heavy trucks and four-wheel-drive vehicles, and CV joints are found on most front-wheel drive vehicles.

There are 3 parts in the CV Joint that are to be assembled. Those 3 parts are explained individually,
1.) SLIP:-

2.) CONNECTOR SET:-

3.) SUPPORT CLIPS:-
