Challenge

Week - 10 - Creating the midline and spot weld

Objective:

Part A - To create midline using bypath option and combine all the midpoints created.

Part B - To create spot welds using bypath optioN.

Procedure:

Part A:

Create a panel to create a list of source lines and target lines. Also selecting each lines is a tideous process. therefore use bypath panel to select the lines. *createlistbypathpanel is the command used to execute.

Store the selected lines in the arguments for source and target lines. Also create another argument midlist which is used to combine the all the midlines that are created.

foreach loop statement is used as the selected id contains more than one lines in it.

To create midline *linescreatemidline command is used which contains a syntax of four inputs. Two inputs for source lines and target lines. Another two inputs for empty node list. Store the created midlines in midlist argument.

*linecombine command is used to combine all the lines that are stored in the argument midlist. Using lindex command the midlines from midlist arguments are accessed by *linecombine command.

unset the values previously stored the arugment midlist and again store the combined midline.

Part B:

Similar to that of creating midline, here the selection of source node and target nodes are done using *createlistbypathpanel command. Store selected entities in arguments.

Create a procedure with the arguments of three which are used to execute the creation of collectors for spot weld and other two arguments to execute the spotweld.

*rigid command is used to execute the spot weld.
