Dog Housing

Its an important part in plastic Trim design as it help trims to join and form an assembly.

At Places where fixing features become to tall to satisfiy design requrements dog housing helps to solve this problem.

It heps to have a good surface finish.

Points to be follow designing dog house

• Dog house wall thickness- wall thickness at intersiction should be 40% or less of main component.
• Hight- hight should be 3 -6 mm at intersiction place
• Width - min of 12mm at top
  • 3:1 for steel
  • 2:1 preferred
• Draft - min draft of 1.5 deg to drawing direction
