Week 10:- 2D Detailing Challenge

Objectives:

Draft a Key Sheet for the Complete Fixture assembly created in challenge 8.

Draft a Base Unit and the Fix Pin Unit drawings with all child parts for the complete Fixture assembly from challenge 8.

Report:

1. Key Sheet for the Complete Fixture assembly. ( P001_Z01_ST006_00_00).

• Key sheet: an index of units & their placement on the tool base. Key sheet shows placement & location of that particular unit on tool base where exactly & exact position of tool base. Key sheet is showing orthogonal or isometric view of that entire component.

2. Drafting a Base Unit and the Fix Pin Unit drawings with all child parts for the complete Fixture assembly.

• In fixture assembly there are three kinds of parts majorly manufactured, bought out parts & hardware’s.
• Manufactured parts are those which taken from supplier or vendors. Here we are detailing each & every child part of unit which is manufactured. Some manufactured parts are repeatedly used in multiple units. This reduces designing & drafting time drastically.
• Bought parts are those which are purchased from catalogue. These are standard parts universally accepted. & manufacture in bulk & stored. It has required less lead time. Also use of std. parts/ bought out parts also reduces drafting time as there no need to detail.
• Hardwares are standard parts & same STD followed every where. So no detailing required
