Week 1 - Free Falling
1 - Simulating a body of mass 1 KG and having a moment of a inertial property of 1KGm@ in y Axis
Graph of body under free fall (1 KG)
The required conditions are shown in the other image
Mass of 1 KG , and inertia along X axis as 1 KGM2
Changing of units
Correcting value of gravity to SI unit system
2 - comparison of 2 masses
As per theory Force due to gravity = GMm/ r*r
There fore acc = GM/ r*r
There fore the acceleration of any body is same as it depends on mass of earth
Comparing body of mass 1 KG to 100 KG mass
As we see there is no difference in the distance covered by both bodies
3
The mass will take into effect in case of real world , when there is a fluid ( air ) which resists the motion due to gravity
Thus slowing down the body
Eg - feather falls slower than metal ball in normal atmosphere
But in case of vacuum they both fall at same time
