5. Typical min. cross slope - (2.5%)
6. Horizontal curve radius without superelevation - (minimum 400m radius)

3. What are the important geometrical parameters of a horizontal alignment and vertical profile? When is a vertical curve needed? 

Parameters for Horizontal alignment:

1. Design speed
2. Type of terrain
3. Horizontal curve radius
4. Super elevation
5. Camber
6. Transition length

Parameters for Vertical alignment:

1. Vertical curve length
2. Sight distance
3. Gradient

Need of vertical curve: The vertical curve is need when the vertical alingment is changed from one gradient to another gradient.

List the formula with a diagram for vertical curve. List all types of vertical curves with the diagrams : submitted in separate as file attached

When is superelevation necessary: To prevent skidding of the vehicle passing through the horizontal curve super elevation is need to be provided the diagram of the suoer elevation is given in separate file is attached.
