Project 2 - Lane National Highway Roadway Design in Civil 3D

Procedure:

Open civil 3d > Open .dwt file > Sve file as Project_GFD 02.dwg > Set coordinate setting and geo locations > open contour file > copy contour data > pase in Project_GFT 02.dwg file > Go to Prospector > Select surface > right click > create surface > Go to defnitions > select contours > select triangulation > triangulation will be created > after select triangulation right click > select border.

Horizontal design:

Home tab > Select create alignment > Create alignment by using point to point > draw tangent lines > add spiral curve between two tangents > give radius > give transition length > save the file

Vertical design:

Go to home tab > create profile > create profile with surface > select the surface > training 10x exggerration > sample offset (-15,15) > draw profile view > select profile > draw profile using layout > draw profile line with the use of tangent lines and parabola curve.

Create assembly:

Select corridor > create assembly > give name of assembly > click ok > select on screen to place assembly > select assembly > go to tol pallete > add lanes and shoulders > go to generic > link slope to surface > change subassembly properties and change the slope deails >

create corridor:

Go to home tab > Go to corridor > select create corridor > give the name of corridor > select alignment > select profile > select assembly > click ok

create sample lines:

Go to sections > create sample lines > select alignment > Give sample line name > select range by range > Give the deails > click ok > right click on screen >go to sections > compute material > select alignment > select sample line > select sandard > select survey surface and corridor bottom as datum >againa select compute material > click ok.

Create multiple section views:

Select sections > create multiple section views > select alignment > select sample line > select draft > select cut & fill material > select type as material > click add > select cut fill material > ok > create section views.

Creating volume report :

Go to toll box > corridor > volume > righ click > execute > select to save the report > create report > done.
