37 - Name Countries which follow RHD Drive ?
UK, India, Singapore, Japan
1.What is Eyellipse and how it important from OEM purpose ?
Eyellipse refers to the elliptical field of vision for the driver. The OEM must consider the field of vision when designing the vehicle. This is due to regulatory, safety, comfort, and ease-of-use considerations.
2.Draw the complete Eyellipse Zone in a OEM environment ?

3.What is E – Point ?
The E-Point refers to the point where the driver’s eye is in the reference system
4.What is P – Point ?
The P-Point refers to the point in the reference system where the driver’s neck swivels from left to right
5.Correlation between E Point and P Point ?
The P-Point is generally 98mm behind the P-point(s).
- Eyellipse calculation as per E – Point and P – Point ?
THIS WAS NOT COVERED IN THE VIDEO!
7.What is full form of “SgRP” ?
Seating Reference Point
8.What is H – Point ?
The is where the torso line and the thigh line meet. It’s generally the same as the SgRP.
9.Difference between “SgRP” and “ H – Point “ ?
OEMs use SgRP as reference point for seating and other commodities, while Tier 1 and other suppliers use the H-Point as reference for seating.
10.What is heel point ?
The heel point is where the heel meets the floor (BiW)
11.What is Oscar ?
Oscar is the mechanical device used to model the human body when designing the seat.

The Oscar is in 3D, while the Oscar Template is in 2D
12.What is the purpose of Oscar ?
The Oscar aids in the design and testing of the seat to ensure the seat meets all the requirements, without the need to use an actual human for testing.
13.What is Design H – Point and Actual H - Point?
Design H-Point is the H-Point for Oscar, and matches the seat reference point provided by the OEM. The Actual H-Point is the H-Point using the 95% leg size installed in any designated Seating position.
14.What is H-Point Window ?
The range of H-Points mapped out using all the possible seat positions.
