Energy Chain Analysis of EV and ICEV
The Economic and Environmental reality of EV is far different than it seems so.Considering the Economic point of view EV's are expensive but it's up to Customer,Plus as Goverments are encouraging the EV sales they offer subsidies which will bring the cost further minimum. On considering the usage perspective EV's are cheaper than ICEV,An EV can operate at far low cost /mile that an ICEV.Coming upto the maintainance,As EV's are having simpler design there won't be much problem for maintainance unless the battery dies at lifecycle. In case of ICEV it's heavy maintanance.
Consider the case study of WolksVagon Golf EV and ICEV the Total CO2 Emission Based on 150k km Driven
Compared to ICEV the EV have lesser carbon footprint that to for the production of the vehicle.
Coming to the Efficiency a typical IC engine have efficiency less than 40 percent,While EV's almost 95+ percent. While There is a downfall the time required to recharge the battery are far more than to refill the fuel tank in ICEV.EV's and ICEV are a double edged sword both have it's give and take. But considering the mother nature we have a duty to protect it,So certain innovations and technologies should be developed in creating an renewable product.
