AIM: Analyze and Design a Boiler shed structure as per IS code in Tekla Structural Designer
TOOLS:
PROCEDURE: Open Tekla Designer Software 2021
Click on new project, a new project window will be appear.
1. Take the screenshots of the plan and open them in paint.
2. Draw the positions of beams and columns in the paint.
3. open tekla Designer Structures
4. Click on new project, a new project window will be appear.
5. click on construction levels for the structure according to the plan, a constuction level dialog box will be appear.
6. Constuct horizontal and vertical grid lines
7. Select the size of steel column section used in the construction as per the requirements.
8. Go to manage properities and sets and create members used for the modeling
9. Go to model and tab and insert the steel columns in the structure
10. Go to model tab and select the beams tool and draw the beams as per the plan.
11. we can check the structure in 3D view.
12. Repeat the same process for the other levels as per the plan.
13. Now click on manage property sets tool and create members like concrete column, steel column and steel beams of different grades.
14. Select slab on beams and insert for all the floors, where ever required
15. Now construct steel column where ever necessary
16. To give extra strength and support to the structure provided secondatry beams.
17. Next select the frame tool and ctreate frames which are used to do the remaining work.
18. Validate and check the model to check weater there are any errors
19. now on selecting the particular frame construct the rather and the roof using high grade steel.
20. After construction of the roof convert the beams to fully fixed support
21. Now with the help of X braces tool construct X braces on both sides of the structure and as well as on the roof.
22. now create wall and roof panels to the structure on all sides.
23. Perform the clame loading caluculations
24. click on loads and create new loads like dead and live loads
25.create slabs to the structure by cling on the slab on beam options
26. now place live and dead load on the structure as per IS standard codes.
27. Now create a new wind load with both+Cpi and - Cpi values.
28. Analyze the structure and do necessary changes to correct the errors.
RESULT :
With the above steps we can construct a stell structure and add different kinds of loads and analyze the structure.
