UNDERBODY COATING

AIM :

To refer the car underbody coating process in luxury and normal cars.

BIW :

Body in weight indicates the car outer surface of the body.The car body describes the safety and appearance of the car.

UNDERBODY COATING :

Coating is the key for car appearance as good.It provides corrosion resistance as long term.It also protects frame rail and body panel.

PROCESS OF UNDERBODY COATING :

1.Car body handle by clip type machine and dipped into the paint solution bar .

2.Another time the car body has been dipped into paint and rotate at 360 degrees and so the underbody covered fully.

3.After dipped ,the car body move to the heating room which heat the car body after the paint is wet.

4.Once the heating is finished,the car body is totally wash at all side of angle using pipe water.

5.After the finish of water spray ,the car body move to the extension chamber which is the room at full set of lights are placed in this room to check whether there is any paint process is missing in small areas of total car body.

PURPOSE OF UNDERBODY COATING :

1.To protect internal body panels.

2.To protect frame rails and other inner cavities.

3.Reduce wear and tear.

TYPES OF UNDERBODY COATING :

1.Rubberized underbody coating.

2.Wax based underbody coating.

3.Asphalt based automotive undercoating.

4.Polyurethane underbody coating.

DEFINITION OF THIS TYPES :

1.Rubberized - protect from scratches.

2.Wax - Protect it from moisture.

3.Asphalt - use in lorries and trucks ,best than rubberized.

4.Polyurethane - fight against corrosion.

ADVANTAGES :

1.Fights rust.

2.Absorbs noise.

3.Reinforcement.

4.Prolong's car life.

DISADVANTAGES :

1.It is less helpful ,if corrosion is already present.

2.It added as vehicle's another weight.
