Underbody Coating
UNDERBODY COATING :
Underbody coating ( Anty rust coating ) as the name suggests , Its a coating provided to prevent Rusting . A coating labelled and formulated for application to wheel wells , The inside of door pannels or fenders , The under side Of the trunk or hood , Or the under side of the motor vehicle . That boils down to personal consideration.
PROCESS OF UNDERBODY COATING :
ELECTROLYTE DEPOSITED BATH :
It is the first process where the car is completely dipped into the electrolyte solution , The car body is took in rails and in Dipped in 360 motion into the solution, So that Every body is completely electrolyte depositted. The more better electrolyte Deposited the more effective paint absorbtion .
DRAINING PROCESS :
After the ED bath the BIW carbody is enter into the heating chamber where the car in completely drained out.When the carbody goes out from the heating chamber, It will be the complete dry body.
PRIMARY COATING AREA :
Primary coating area is the area where priliminary coating of the carbody is done.This is the stage where the first level of paint is coated in the carbody. The carbody is dipped inside the solution Similar to ED bath. After this process the car body is sent for underbody selant process .
UNDERBODY SELANT REGION :
In this chamber the thick layer of underbody sealing is coated, The spot welding region is coated so that it gives strenth to Joint . It can be carried out through manually or automatedly . After this process the carbody is sent to painting process and Then inspection takes place .
PROS :
- It provides to carriage of your vehicle.
- Protection against rust and corrosion.
- You can get years of protection from it.
- Gain protection as debris is kept awar from eating at the vehicle.
- It protects from the extereme temperature.
- It minimizes sound from underneath the car.
CONS :
- It works best on new vehicles.
- Under coating will not help you when the rust is already exist.
- It is expensive.
