Tool Test-2

AIM:

     To pre-processing on a given model using ANSA.

OBJECTIVE:

1.To check the geometrical error on the given model.

2.To generate 2D mesh on the components based on the quality criteria given.

3.To generate volume mesh on the component using tetra elements.

PROCEDURE:

1.IMPORTING THE MODEL:

1.The model is imported to the work space.

      

2.GEOMETRY CLEANUP:

1.To check the geometrical error go to check manager.

2.Select the geometry and click execute.

3.The geometrical eroor can be fixed manually or automaticaly.

4.Once the model has no error we can proceed the further process.

     

3.QUALITY CRITERIA:

1.Goto Quality criteria that is avaliable in tool bar.

2.The criteria that is given in the condition is applied and click ok.

      

3.Then the value of mesh parameters is declared.

     

4.SOLID MESH:

1.The meshing is done using mesh generation > Spot mesh tool.

2.The curved faces are given the mesh element type as ortho tria and the flat surfaces are given the mesh element type as tria.

3.Then the created mesh is refined using the shell mesh > improve > reconstruct is used.

     

5.VOLUME MESH:

1.The volume is defined by using the define option in volume mesh module.

2.Goto volume option right click on the solid property and click remesh option and select the volume type as tetra rapid to obtain a volume mesh.

OUTPUT:

      

OBSERVATION:

1.Thus check the geometrical error on the given model is performed.

2.Thus the generation of 2D mesh on the components based on the quality criteria given is performed.

3.Thus the generation of volume mesh on the component using tetra elements performed.

RESULT:

     Thus the pre-processing of the given model is performed sucessfully.
