Tool Test 1
Objective :
The objective of this projects is to check for the geometrical errors and mesh with the given elements Quality criteria using ANSA software.
Procedure for meshing this geometry in ANSA:
* Import the "CAD geometry" file into ANSA,the file should be of "STEP(.stp)" or "IGES(.igs)" or "STL(stl)" or "(.ansa)" formats only because ANSA can only support these formats.
* After importing the CAD geometry we should perform some basic operations like
(a) Set different orientation for top and bottom surfaces. (b) Perform "Topology" to confirm that all the surfaces are stitched perfectly (c) Check for any issues in the geometry (i.e, execute "geometry cleanup")
(d) Fix all the geometry issues if there are any.

* Now its time for extracting the "Midsurface"
For this component i went for 'Faces - offset' and 'Faces - middle' option to get the midsurface of the entire geometry.
Component 1: Switch panel

* Set different PID(Part ID) for different features of the component.

* Now we need to do the meshing for the midsurface extracted and the mesh should follow the given quality criteria.

* After inputing the quality parameters we should start the meshing, here i used best mesh algorithm of ANSA for meshing the entire surface of the feature and the mesh improvements are done with the help of 'Shell mesh - Reconstruction, and 'Shell mesh - Smooth' options

* Since the geometrical feature given has very small and complex surfaces which has length smaller than the given minimum leghth quality criteria there are some places where getting zero 'off' elements is very difficult and we need to go for 'defeaturing' method to get the complete error free mesh. But here 'Defeaturing' few surfaces will completely change the geometrical structure of the given feature which is considered has much more critical than having few minor errors in the mesh generation, therfore due to these reasons i have few off elements present in the mesh of the component.
Component 2: Plastic Component
* Here for this component since it had uniform thickness throughout the geometry and its also a closed geometry i went for "Auto Midsurface Generation".

* Similarly as mentioned above we need to generate the mesh for the midsuface extracted to the given quality criteria

* Conclusion:
The given 2 components is checked for geometry cleanup and meshed with the given element 'Quality criteria' and the result has been attached above.
