Loading Summary:

The loading summary should provide a comprehensive overview of the loads that were considered in the design process, including:

  1. Dead loads: These are the permanent loads that are supported by the structure, such as the weight of the steel members, roof, and cladding.

  2. Live loads: These are the variable loads that are imposed on the structure, such as the weight of people, furniture, and equipment.

  3. Wind loads: These are the loads that are imposed on the structure due to wind pressure and suction, and can vary based on the location and exposure of the building.

  4. Seismic loads: These are the loads that are imposed on the structure due to seismic activity, and can vary based on the seismic zone and soil conditions.

The loading summary should provide detailed information on the magnitude and distribution of each load type, as well as the factors of safety that were used in the design process to ensure that the structure is safe and reliable.

  1. Design of RC Elements:

Column:

The design of columns was carried out using the limit state method. The axial load and moment capacity of the column were calculated based on the forces and moments obtained from the analysis. The minimum and maximum reinforcement ratios were checked and the required area of steel was provided.

Beam:

The design of beams was carried out using the limit state method. The shear, moment and torsion capacity of the beam were calculated based on the forces and moments obtained from the analysis. The minimum and maximum reinforcement ratios were checked and the required area of steel was provided.

Slab:

The design of slab was carried out using the limit state method. The bending and shear capacity of the slab were calculated based on the loads and moments obtained from the analysis. The minimum and maximum reinforcement ratios were checked and the required area of steel was provided.

Foundation:

The foundation design was carried out based on the loads obtained from the analysis. The depth and width of the foundation were calculated based on the soil bearing capacity. The reinforcement was provided as per the design requirements.

  1. Loading Summary:

The loading summary of the RC structure is as follows:

Dead Load: 11.56 kN/m^2 Live Load: 3 kN/m^2 Wind Load: 0.38 kN/m^2 Seismic Load: 0.25 kN/m^2

Total Design Load: 15.19 kN/m^2

Conclusion:

The RC structure was designed as per the Indian Standard Codes and the analysis results were found to be satisfactory. The design of the columns, beams, slab and foundation was carried out using the limit state method. The loading summary shows that the structure is safe and capable of withstanding the design loads.
