Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

Sketch a G+1 floor residential plan, according to Vaastu Shastra, and list down the names of the structural drawings required to be provided to the site for construction.

Also, assume the sizes of the structural elements (Column, Beam, Slab, etc.,) and accordingly calculate the individual corresponding loads from the members as per IS code.

North facing residential plan is attached below

Size of the structural elements are

Column - 450mm x 230mm

Beam - 600mm x 230mm

Plinth beam - 450mm x 230mm

Slab - 150mm

- All columns are 450mm x 230mm

Dead Load = Voume of member x Unit wt. of material x No. of columns

Unit wt. of concrete = 25 KN/m3 (RCC)

= (0.45x0.23x3) x 25 x 18

= 0.3105 x 25 x18

D.L = 139.725 KN

- All beams are 230mm x 600mm

Dead Load = Voume of member x Unit wt. of material

Unit wt. of concrete = 25 KN/m3 (RCC)

= (0.23x0.6x85) x 25

= 11.73 x 25

D.L = 293.25 KN

- Slab thickness if 125mm

Dead Load = Voume of member x Unit wt. of material

Unit wt. of concrete = 25 KN/m3 (RCC)

= (111 x 0.150) x 25

= 16.65 x 25

D.L = 416.25 KN

Live Load = 2 KN/m2

- The height of the wall is 4.5m

230 mm wall thickness

length of wall = 85m

Height = 3m

Width = 0.23m

Dead Load = Voume of member x Unit wt. of material

Unit wt. of Brick masonry = 20 KN/m3

= (85 x 0.23 x 3) x 20

= 58.65 x 20

D.L = 1173 KN

No need of Wind Load calculation because the height of the building is not more than 10 meters
