Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

1. Sketch a G+1 floor residential plan, according to Vaastu Shastra, and list down the names of the structural drawings required to be provided to the site for construction.

2. Also, assume the sizes of the structural elements (Column, Beam, Slab, etc.,) and accordingly calculate the individual corresponding loads from the members as per IS code.

Answer :- Title and Legend Sheet

ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS

  • Setting out PlanCentreline Plans
  • Floor Plans (Detailed with grid Dimensions i.e. Centreline Markings)
  • Sections and Details
  • Elevations and Finish Details
  • Opening Schedules

STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS

  • rench Plan or Excavation Plan (according to Centreline Markings on Site)
  • Foundation Plan
  • Column Layouts
  • Plinth Beam Layouts
  • Roof Beam and Slab Layouts
  • Consultant DRAWINGS
  • Mechanical Drawing
  • Electrical Drawings
  • Plumbing Drawings
  • Fire Safety Drawings

Given data:

RCC slab
Length = 4m ( Ls )
Width = 4m ( Ws )
Thickness = 125mm =0.125m. (Ts )
The self-weight of any RCC structure is calculated by the formula

= [Unit weight × volume.]

As you know, the unit weight of the RCC structure = D =2500kg/cum.

Self-weight of the slab

Wt. of the slab

= [unit weight× volume of the slab]

= [ D × ( Ls × Ws × Ts )]

= [ 2500kg/cum. × ( 4m. × 4m. × 0.125m. )]

= [ 2500kg/cum. × 2cum.]

= 5000kg.

Given data B (300 x 300) :-

RCC BEAM
Length = 1000mm( Ls )
Width = 300mm ( Ws )
Thickness =300mm =0.3m. (Ts )
The self-weight of any RCC structure is calculated by the formula

= [Unit weight × volume.]

As you know, the unit weight of the RCC structure = D =2500kg/cum.

Self-weight of the BEAM

Wt. of the column

= [unit weight× volume of the beam]

= [ D × ( Ls × Ws × Ts )]

= [ 2500kg/cum. × ( 1× 0.3m. × 0.3m. )]

= [ 2500kg/cum. ×0.09cum.]

= 225kg.

Given data c (200 x 500) :-

RCC COLUMN
Length = 1000mm( Ls )
Width = 200mm ( Ws )
Thickness =500mm =0.5m. (Ts )
The self-weight of any RCC structure is calculated by the formula

= [Unit weight × volume.]

As you know, the unit weight of the RCC structure = D =2500kg/cum.

Self-weight of the column

Wt. of the column

= [unit weight× volume of the column]

= [ D × ( Ls × Ws × Ts )]

= [ 2500kg/cum. × ( 1× 0.2m. × 0.5m. )]

= [ 2500kg/cum. ×0.1cum.]

= 250kg.
