Section Modulus calculation and optimization
section modulus:
- the ratio of the bending resisted by the section to the stress in the extreme fiber
why do we calculate section modulus?
- it is calculated so that we can know the stiffness and rigidity of the part/the component
- to make sure that we are optimizing our part to get the maximum stiffness and rigidity possible

formula:
`S=I/Y`
where
- `S = "Section modulus"`
- `I = " Moment of Inertia "`
- `y = " distance between the neutral fiber and the extreme fiber"`
`S = (1.796xx10^6 mm^4)/(239.0345 mm)`
`S = 7513.5597 mm^3`
How to improve section modulus?
to improve section modulus there are multiple ways
1. to increase the thickness of the material
2. to increase the cross-sectional area of the component
3. to increase the height of the stress structure (embosses)
4. to change the center of gravity by attaching weights (external solution) or adding reinforcements
