Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1.Identify each of the major elements in the above automotive wiring diagram.
major elements in the above diagrm
Power Genarating & Storage Elementes:-
1. Battery 12v
2.Genarator
3.Current and Voltage Regulator
Power Consuming Componentes:-
High Current Cunsuming Componentes. Low Current Consuming Componentes.
- Starter 1.Dashbord indicators(ammeter,
- Head lamps and Tail lamps fuel gauge,etc...)
- Horn
- Break indications,parking lights 2.Ignition systemes.
2.Explain the purpose and working of any three elements briefly.
Battery :-
*Battery is a device its concverts the chemical energy to number of types of energyes like Mechanical Energy (when starter is active), light Energy (when lightes on), Sound energy (when Horn on)...
*Battery is Electrical Energy Storage Device. It is Store Energy With In the Limets When The energy Comes From The Genarator.
Genarator:-
*Genarator is a device it is converted Mechanical Energy to Electrical Energy.
*This Electrical Energy is Using Vehicle Ignation Systemes & Battery Charging & Horn & Lights.
Current & Voltage Regulator:-
*The genarator Produsing higher voltages at high speeds, but lead acid battery required charging volatage is 14.20 max. at higher speeds the voltages is incresing. when we use the genarator output directly to battery the battery get damage due to high voltage.
*To protect Battery from Over current and Over voltage we using the current and voltage regulator.
Starter :-
*Starter is used to start the Vehicle. It is takes Electrical Energy From The Battery To Converting Mechanical Energy For Starting the Vehicle.
Ignition Coil System :-
*It Ignition System Is Hart of gassoline Engines. In this system Contain Distributor and spark plugs.
*The Distributor is distributing the higher volteges to the spark pluges to perticular order.spark plug end tip having some air gap. on that gap spark will occur.
*this sparkpluges placed in side the engine it produse sparks in every powerstroke in engine cylender.
3.If the total load is 10A from battery, what should be the fuse rating?
Fuse rating is depend upon current drawn from the circuit the total load is 10 amp fuse can handle up to 10 amps before it blows.
if the normal expected current draw is 10A and the cable size is 25A, then a fuse rated at 15A would be appropriate.
4.If 500W is the load, what is the voltage and capacity of battery you recommend?
In Genaraly We using Vehicles 12 v Batteryes. In havy Vehicles Using Max 24 v
for based upon 12 v , 24 v voltage all the all componentes(lights, horns, sound systemesetc..) fitting to the vehicle.
12 V battery ==> 12v 42 AH
24 V battery ==> 24v 21 AH
5.Identify any two elements which are connected parallel to each other. Why they are connected in parallel?
*Fuses are also connected in series if any problem is occured in circuit Fuse is burn out and open the circuit and protects remining componentes in circuit.
*fuel gauges commenely fuel gauges are connected in serice one end is connected to the resistive Gauge in side the fuel tank , resistive gauge send signals to the dash bord fuel indication meater.
*Amp meater is also connected to one end source and anyther end connected to load for know about consumming current.
