Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1) Battery,Starter Motor,Ignition coil,Generator,Distributor,Brekaer,Junction block,Horn,Lights,Light switches,Ammeter,Foot selector switch,Current& Voltage regulator,Fuse,Horn button,Parking lamp,Ignition switch,Fuel gauge,Beam light, stop lights,Stop loght switch,tail stop,dome lights.dome light switch.

2) a) Battery - Heart of the system which contains one or more elctrochemical cells which produces electrical energy to power other electrical compoents.

b)Ignition coil - it is an induction coil that transfers battery's voltage to spark plugs to ignite the fuel by producing electric spark.

c) Dsitributor - it's a device which in turns delivers the voltage from ignition coil to all the spark plugs in a sequential manner to maintain the engine's firing order.

3) Fuse must always be above the total load but not ver much high at the same time , to spot out the changes to protect the system . so for 10A load, we can use 12A fuse.

4)we can use 12v,24v,48v as common voltage. But since there are multiple high voltage requirments such as ignition coil, lights, horns, I recommend to use 48v , 10.4 A Battery pack.

5)i)Battery & ignition coil - igniton coil needs needs the whle battery voltage inorder to trsnfer it to sparkplug.

ii) stops lights and their switch - both lights have a single switch .hence connected in parallel

6) i) battery and ammeter - they need to be in series in order to measure accurate current figures produces by battery.

ii) battery and starter - starter motor needs high current inorder to maximise its initial power. hence connected in series.
