Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1.Identify each of the major elements in the above automotive wiring diagram
A. Battery:
The battery is a major role in the vehicle Its main purpose to provide an electric current to the electric-powerew starting motor, which is turn starts the chemically powerd internal combustion engine that actually propels the vehicle. Once running the alternator then takes over by supply the necessary electrical current to run the motor, radio, lights, the wipers etc......
2. Explain the purpose and working of any three elements briefly.
A. i) Battery ii) Ignition coil iii) Breaker
i) Battery: working: A battery is a device that stores chemical energy and converts it to electrical The chemical reactions in a battery involve the flow of electrons from one material to another, through on external circuit. the flow of electrons provides an electric current that can be used to do work. Battery have a Anode, cathode and electrolite solution these are used to work the Battery.
ii) Ignition coil: working: An ignition coil is an induction coil in an Automobile's ignition system that transforms the battery's voltage to the thousands of volts needed to create a electric Park in the spark plugs to ignite the fuel, some coils have an internal resistor, while others rely on a resistor wire (or) an external resistor to limit the current flowing into the coil. from the car's 12-volt supply. The wire that goes from the ignition coil to the distribubr to each of the spark, high voltage wires that go from the spark plugs. iii) Breaker: Working: A circuit breaker is an electrical safety device designed to protect an electrical circuit from damge caused by an over caused or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow to protect equipment and to prevent the Risk of fire. unlike a fuse, which operates once and then must be Replaced, a circuit breaker can be reset.
3.If the total load is 10A from battery, what should be the fuse rating? A. The fuse rating is more then 10A 10A > For exampe 1.5 times we take high load current. 10A*1.5=15A The fuse rating is "15A".
4.If 500W is the load, what is the voltage and capacity of battery you recommend? A. Given data load (p)=500w voltage(v)=12v (genarally assume )
power = voltage*current p/v = l 500/12 = I I=41.6 Ah
Battery capacity ( 500w runs a motor take 1 hour ) battery capacity I = 41.6Ah
5.Identify any two elements which are connected parallel to each other. Why they are connected in parallel? A.

6.Identify any two elements which are connected in series. Why they are connected in series? A.
