Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

Answer for question1

1. Generator 2. Battery 3. Starter 4. Ignition coil 5. Ammeter 6. Foot selector switch 7. Breaker 8. Fuse. 9. Current and voltage regulator.

Answer for question 2

1. Generator :- An electric generator is a device thats converts mechanical energy obtained from an external source into electrical energy. It uses the mechanical energy supplies to it to force the movement of electric charge present in the wire of its windings through an external electric circuit.

2. Fuse :- It is a safety device. The breaks the circuits if a faul in an appliance causes too much current to flow. This protect the wiring and the appliances if something goes wrong. Fuse break the supply if suddenly current increases.

3. Breaker :- A circuit breaker is an electrical safety device designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by an overcurrent or short circuit. Breaker basic function is to protect the equipment or circuits from fire hazardous.

Answer for question 3

Total load I =10 amp

Fuse rating =?

Voltage V =30 Volt. Car battery voltage

We know , P = V*I =30*10=300Kw

Fuse rating = I = (P*1.5)/V

I=300*1.5/30. I = 15Amp

Answer for question 4

I = 10amp from previous question

P=500W. V=? C=?

We know P=V*I V=P/I V =500/10

V=50 Volt

Capacity C=I*t=10*1. C=10Ah

Answer for question 5

Horn:- parallel switching of high and low tones is used and the main sound frequency of this signals are combined.

All lights:- Each lights in a parallel circuit has its own circuit. The individual current addup to the total current. The voltage for each light is the same. If one light malfunctions in a parallel circuits the other lights still light up.

Answer for question 6

Battery:- Connected in series with high voltage to improve power and energy efficiency.

Ammeter:- An ammeter is a device which measures the amount of current flowing in the circuit. It is a very low resistance .If It will be connected in parallel , it would draw most of the current.
