Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1. a) Genarator b) Battery c) Starter d) Ignition coil e) Ammeter f) Foot selector switch g) Breaker i) Fuse
2. a. Ignition coil- ignition coil (also called a spark coil) is an induction coil in an automobile's ignition system that transforms the battery's voltage to the thousands of volts needed to create an electric spark in the spark plugs to ignite the fuse
b. Fuse- Purpose. Fuses and circuit breakers are designed to protect circuits in the event of electrical overload.
c. Battery- battery provides the bolt of electricity required to put the car's electrical components to work. It also converts chemical energy into electrical energy that powers your car and delivers required energy to its starter. It also stabilizes the voltage to keep the electrical component running.
3. 15A should is the fuse rating
4. given,
load - 500W
V = 12V
C = A×h
P = VI
I = p/v
500/12 = 41.6
41.4×1h = 41.6Ah
5. light switch, gas tank light, plate light, dome light are in parallel connection.
and parallel connection we use to provide equal amount of energy to all the appliances.
6. battery, starter, ammeter are in series connection.
in series connection to increase the overall voltage.
