Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
ans 1) Battery 2) Breaker 3)Distributor 4)Starter 5) Generator 6 ) current and voltage regulator 7) ammeter 8) Fuse.
ans 2) 1) Battery -
a) Battery is a device that holds the charge and provides the required power for the circuit.
working - 1) A battery works with the help of anode, cathode and an electrolyte it converts chemical energy into electrical energy by the flow of electrons. 2) When we placed an positive charged cathode and negetively charged anode in presence of an electrolyte this causes the flow of electrons which provides an electric current in the circuit.
2) Ammeter -
a) Ammeter is a device which is used to measure the current in the circuit.
b) It gives us the amount of electrons flowing in the circuit
working -
a) ammeter works on basic principle of ohms law when we pass the known voltage and we placed the known resitor we can obtain the exact value for the current in the circuit and this is how an ammter works.
b) there are digital as well as anlog ammters are also available.
3) Fuse -
a) Fuse is a device which is a safety device in the circuit to avoid any short circuit or excessive current to the load.
working - a) fuse works on a basic principle of heat effect.the wire in the fuse is made up of metallic wire with low melting point so if the excessive current or voltage passed through the fuse wire the wire gets heat up and it opens up the circuit thus we can prevent any damages. b) Fuse is a device can also be easily replaceable in case of breakage. c) by melting the wire the circuit gets broken and thus the circuit remains incomplete and doesn't pass on any charge.
ans 3) For the selection of fuse we generally prefer 1.25 times of the total load in the circuit so we can use the fuse of 12.5A or the standard fuse of 15A.
ans 4) Explanation in the attached document Capacity C = 41.66Ah.
ans 5) Battery and ION SW are connected in parallel because the requirement for the current is different for both the devices.
2) horn button and scalled beam are connected in parallel because the current requirement and the node point for the devices are also different.
ans 6) Battery and ammeter are connected in series because in ammeter we measure the amount of current flows through the circuit to get the exact value of that we need constant current. 2) Fuse and light switch are also connected in series fuse act as a safety device in the circuit so when an abnormal current pass through the circuit the coil gets heat up and fuse breaks so they has to be connected in series.
