Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1.

the major elements are

battery

starter

breaker

junction block

ammeter

horn button

tail stop

sealed beam

horn

parking lamp

generator

current and voltsge regualator

foot selector switch

gas tank unit

fuse

2.

fuse: electric vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle fuses protect electrical circuits, electrical equipment and batteries in an electric vehicle from electric faults such as overloads and short circuits.

horn: The driver uses horn to warn others of the vehicle's approach or presence, or to call attention to some hazard.

parking lamp: these lights makes the vehicle visible from the side so that other vehicles can easily spot the vehicle.

3.

the fuse rating should be more than the current rating for example 12A because the fuse will melt if the current exceed 10A .

4 .

given p= 500W

V=12 v

we know that p=v*i

the capacity of the battery is 41.6 AH

5 .

here HORN and led lights are connected in parallel

they are connected in parallel beacuse they draw more power during the start of engine . the power supply will be cut during the time of start of engine to prevent the excess load on battery . so after the start of vehicle the power supplied to the led and horn by parallel series.

6.

Here the fuse and ammeter are connected in series

The ammeter is used to calculate totat current in the Circuit. If any external load comes the fuse wire melts and the entire circuit is shut off. This is to prevent damages of the circuit

As we know the series - parallel connection is good for ev
