Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1) Battery, Distributor, Starter, Generator, Ignition coil, Breaker, Current and Voltage Regulator, Foot Selector Switch, Gas tank unit.
2) Distributor= It is an enclosed rotating shaft used in spark ignition internal combustion engine that have mechanically timed ignition. The distributor's main function is to rotae secondary or high voltage, current from the ignition coil to spark plugs in the correct firing order and for the correct amount of time.
Ignition Coil= It is also called spark coil. It is an induction coil in an automobile's ignition system that transforms the battery's voltage to the thousands of volts needed to create an electric spark in the spark plugs to ignite the fuel.
Battery= An automobile battery or car battery is a rechargeable battery that is used to start a motorcycle. It is to provide an electric current to the electric-powered starting motor, which in turn starts the chemically powered internal combustion engine that actually propels the vehicle.
3) If the load is at 10amps then the rating should be selected as 10*135%= 13.5Amps
Then the fuse rating will be 15Ampere.
4) Load Current=500W; Battery Voltage=12V; Watts= Battery(Ah)*Battery(volts)
Battery(Ah)= Watts/Battery(volts); Ah=500/12 =41.66Ah.
5) Scaled Beam, Parking lamp. Parallel Connection are mainly in lighting circuits. There is more than one path for electric current. Each headlight is exposed to the full potential difference supplied by the car's electrical system, giving maximum brightness.
6) Actuator Circuits, Starter. Series connection are mainly used in onboard computer system and acuator circuits. If actuators are physically connected such that they will run at the same speed, wiring them in series will balance the torque on them.
