1. The problem statement for the project is the common but critical health condition, that is, constipation, attributed to the lifestyle changes involved and the toilet seat design change (to western toilets).

However, through the project, we are targeting to improve the seating posture of western toilets, so as to better assist in the passage of stool, while maintaining the seating comfort of the western toilet seats. As a solution, we have designed the 3D model of the foot pedal in space claim, so as to improve the seating posture in toilets. The design for manufacturing in 3D printers (FDM) is also considered in the later section of the project.

2. Design for manufacturing of foot pedal in FDM

The foot pedal will be manufactured with the top plate as the first layer and with the bottom of the foot pedal as the last layer. The design is simple and vertical, hence no support or brim is required for the 3D printing in FDM.
