Project
Title :To prepare techinical report on simulation of BAJAJ All Terrain vehicle under different conditions.
Explanation :
Case 1 :
Model with CVT :

- The above fig shows the dia for CVT having an arrangement of Continuous Variable Transmission System (CVT). It has number of gears.
- These gears are important as it can optimize variable speed under high or low torque.
- This means low gear can provide good acceleration while high gear will be fueal economic.
- As it is seen it is a pully type of transmissoin connected via belt drive which are mounted on conical shape pully.
- The cylinders can increase or decrease the distance between the pully .
- This allows the pully to go high or low depending upon the griving conditions.
CVT BLOCK:

- The above is the inside blocks of CVT.
- It has multiple connectoins as we can see, the varible gear ratio is a gearbox driven by mechanical or electric means.
- The physical signal cr gives the ratio of input and output.
- The engine which can be petrol or diesel depending upon the requirement.
- The connections of the gear transmission inputs and engine is made so as to make it an running simulation.

CVT Gear Ratio:

Vehicle Speed Output:

From above it is clear that the vehicle attends its max speed and after interval of time gets constant hence it has no effect on velocity.
CVT Shaft RPM :

There it is seen that variation in the input and output of the shafts and the values differs with respect to the gear ratio.
Case2 :
Simulink Model for Bajaj with CVT using Dashboard :

In the dashboard model above contains regulator to control and vary the brakes and the throttle.
While peforming the model simulaton for infinite time it is seen that when the throttel is given the speed increase and decrease but as soon as the brakes are applied the speed goes to zero. this gives relation between velocity and throttle brakes.
Case 3

CVT Block Diagram :

The Difference in this case is that the gear ratio input to CVT is provided using lookup table.
CVT Ratio :

Lookup table :

Output For the case

CVT shaft RPM

Both the results are same because the input parameters are also same.
Case 4 :
Simulink Model for Bajaj ATV with CVT using lookup table and Dashboard :

In this model the throttle and brakes are controlled with the regulator and it is seen that the speed varies when throttle and brakes are applies and the brakes does not work as it was in above case.
Vehicle Speed :

The graph is similar to cvt dash board but here the speed does not fall to zero even after the brakes are applied and throttle is given.
CVT shaft RPM ;

Conclusion : We have successfully analysed 4 diffrent cases of modlues and its input output behviour accordingly with respect to input throttle and brakes.
