Current technology in automobile industry
-Autonomous Vehicles (AVs)
Autonomous vehicles (AVs) or self-driving cars have the potential to provide many benefits such as improving mobility and reducing the energy and emissions consumed, travel time, and vehicle ownership. it is on ethat can drive itself from starting point to apredetermined destination in autopilot mode using various invehicle technologies and sensors including adaptive cruise control, active steering,anti-lock braking system.
-Vehicle Connectivity
Connectivity implies a link, and ultimately communication, between machines and people, and to the Internet of Things. Certain vehicles are already being built with driver assistance technology to help keep cars from drifting out of lane, monitor blind spots and more.
-Electrification.
Electrification refers to the process of replacing technologies that use fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) with technologies that use electricity as a source of energy.
-Shared mobility
Shared transport or shared mobility is a transportation system where travelers share a vehicle either simultaneously as a group (e.g. ride-sharing) or over time (e.g. carsharing or bike sharing) as personal rental, and in the process share the cost of the journey, thus creating a hybrid between private vehicle use and mass orpubulic transport . It is a transportation strategy that allows users to access transportaion services on an as-needed basis. Shared mobility is an umbrella term that encompasses a variety of transportation modes includingcarsharing,Bicycle-sharing systems, ridesharing companies, carpools , andmicrotransit.
-Artificial Intelligence
AI is being effectively implemented in the automotive value chain, including manufacturing, design, supply chain, production, post-production, 'driver assistance' and 'driver risk assessment' systems. On top of that, AI has been proactively transforming aftermarket services like predictive maintenance and insurance.
-Big Data & Analytics
Big data analytics frames the premise of all these applications as vast amounts of data is being collected through remote sensors, which are dissected and used for changing the auto business, support mechanization, and boost automation.
-Human-Machine Interfaces
Automotive HMIs allow drivers and passengers to interact with their vehicles in a far more natural way. Via in-car touch screens and buttons, push rotary controllers, swipe and gesture functions, and even speech recognition technology
-3D Printing
With 3D printing, automotive designers can quickly fabricate a prototype of a physical part or assembly, from a simple interior element to a dashboard or even a scale model of an entire car. Rapid prototyping enables companies to turn ideas into convincing proofs of concept
