Project 3

1.

More Fuel Efficient rides.

-stop/start technology

new vehicles automatically stop and restart when your vehicle comes to a rest at a long for more than five seconds.this makes out the maximum fuel efficiency

-Fuel-efficient hybrid /Plug-in hydrid technology

Combining electric power with conventional internal combustion technology. At the start and up a speed of engine electic power is used and battery is charged through regenrative braking. In plug in techology it allows you to travel anywhere from 20 to 50 miles in EV mode before the engine kicks in.conventional hybrid are cheaper than their plug-in counterparts.

-Continuously Variable transmission

Automakers are turning to continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) to also improve fuel economy. The rationale behind these so-called step-less or gearless transmissions is that they keep the engine turning at a constant rpm.Manufacturers have addressed some of these issues by putting in artificial steps like gears that can be controlled with paddle shifters, allowing the driver to select a more normal feeling rev range to match the vehicle’s speed. As for elastic acceleration.

-Fuel-effient sailing or gliding mode

decoupling the engine from the transmission when your foot is off the accelerator. This allows the engine to drop down to a fuel-saving idle and not become a drag on the vehicle and allowing it to coast more freely. What you gain in fuel economy you also lose in the car’s ability to use the engine for braking, which may in turn, result in additional brake wear in vehicles equipped with this technology.

-Intelligent cruise control

ability in of itself is fuel-efficient by more consistently controlling the vehicle’s speed than your right foot. But another layer is already filtering into high-end production cars where a terrain-based navigation system actually anticipates curves and hills and adjusts the vehicle’s speed accordingly. This means smoother power application and braking and as a result greater fuel savings

Predictive Vehicle Technology

Predictive vehicle technology is a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) used to understand the trends and operating pattern of the vehicle owner which enhances the safety of the vehicle. The tools include data mining, neural networks, system modelling, and simulation. Predictive vehicle technology personalizes the driving experience by automating the process of vehicle settings which includes the vehicle’s infotainment system and application preferences. AI and ML are an integral part of future vehicles and auto industry since, predictive technologies are gaining popularity among all the vehicle types for providing the driver with comfort and convenience. OEMs are focusing on adoption of IoT and connected gadgets in the vehicles which can operate on voice commands. Moreover, the sensors present in the vehicle can also inform the vehicle owner whether the vehicle needs a service from a mechanic.

Self-Driving Technology

A self-driving car is a vehicle that uses a combination of sensors, cameras, radar and artificial intelligence (AI) to travel between destinations without a human operator. To qualify as fully autonomous, a vehicle must be able to navigate without human intervention to a predetermined destination over roads that have not been adapted for its use. AI technologies power self-driving car systems.

Cars-as-a-service

Car as a Service (CaaS) model is being to be an improvement over the existing car leasing model.. The contracts bind the customers with vehicles for long periods of time. The lease period agreed upon at the beginning of the lease is inflexible. Any changes made to the lease attract severe penalties and financial losses from the customer’s point of view.

On the other hand, Car as a Service (CaaS) program provides flexibility in the hands of the customers. They can change and upgrade their vehicles as and when they want. Like lease contracts, subscription to a car does not bind the customer for many years. Simply put, the Car as a Service (CaaS) program works like a Netflix subscription. Customers can subscribe to cars on a month-to-month basis.
