The Parallel and series hybrid architecture was simulated in Matlab based on the drive cycle given the acceleration was found and seperate blocks for SOC of battery and speed of the vehicle with variation in reference speed were added in the model and the results are seen below.

The parallel Simulation as seen in the below results is observed to have better regeneration compared to the case of the series hybrid.

For the Series Hybrid the simulation results is seen as below in which the regeneration seems to be charging back a bit less comparitively.

The results were plotted with the files attached.
