Project 2 - V&V SW Analysis II

Dear sir/mam,

as there is an issue in connection with server end. i cant able to establish connection from my personal computer system and your server for LDRA tools how ever steps are written as show below. steps require during execution of LDRA tool is as follow

1. Performing Static Code Review Analysis for the file Testrain.c.
2. Performing Integration Testing using TBExtreme for the Cashregister_6.0 project.

Let's start with the static code review and then move on to the integration testing.

Task 1: Static Code Review Analysis

1. Open LDRA Tool Suite:
• Launch the LDRA tool suite from your computer.
2. Load the Project:
• Navigate to the file Testrain.c located at C:\**\LDRA_workarea\Examples\C_Testbed_examples\Testrain\Testrain.c.
• Load this file into the LDRA tool suite for analysis.
3. Perform Static Code Analysis:
• Select the option for static code analysis within the LDRA tool.
• Run the analysis on Testrain.c to check for coding standards, potential errors, code complexity, and other static analysis metrics.
4. Generate Code Review Report:
• Once the analysis is complete, generate the code review report.
• Export the report as a PDF or other preferred formats.
5. Upload the Report:
• Save the generated report and provide it for upload.

Task 2: Integration Testing using TBExtreme

Part A: Create and Execute Test Cases

1. Open LDRA Tool Suite and TBExtreme:
• Launch the LDRA tool suite and open TBExtreme for test case generation and execution.
2. Load the Project:
• Navigate to the folder containing the .C files for the Cashregister_6.0 project located at C:\**\LDRA_workarea\Examples\Toolsuite\Cashregister_6.0\.
3. Include All .C Files:
• Ensure that all .C files from the Cashregister_6.0 project are included in the test suite for integration testing.
4. Create Test Cases:
• Manually Create Test Cases:
• Identify key functionalities and interactions between the modules.
• Write test cases to verify these functionalities.
• Automatically Generate Test Cases using TBExtreme:
• Use TBExtreme’s automatic test case generation feature to create test cases for the project.
5. Execute Test Cases:
• Run both the manually created and automatically generated test cases.
• Record the results of these test executions.
6. Generate and Export Test Reports:
• Once the tests are executed, generate test reports detailing the test cases, execution results, and any identified issues.
• Export the test reports as PDF or other preferred formats.

Part B: Store Test Cases as .tcf File

1. Save Test Cases:
• Store the created test cases in a .tcf file.
• Ensure the file includes all the necessary details for future test execution.
2. Locate the .tcf File:
• Note the directory where the .tcf file is saved.
• Capture a screenshot of the file location for reference.

Summary of Deliverables:

1. Static Code Review Report:
• PDF report from the static code analysis of Testrain.c.
2. Integration Testing Reports:
• Test case execution reports generated from TBExtreme for the Cashregister_6.0 project.
3. .tcf File:
• .tcf file containing all the test cases for the integration testing.
• Image showing the location of the .tcf file.

Execution Steps:

1. Perform Static Code Review Analysis:
• Analyze Testrain.c and generate a report.
2. Perform Integration Testing:
• Include all .C files from Cashregister_6.0.
• Create and execute test cases manually and automatically using TBExtreme.
• Generate and export test reports.
3. Store Test Cases:
• Save test cases as .tcf file.
• Capture location image of .tcf file.

4. Upload the image showing the location of the .tcf file.

Since I can't execute tools directly, i will need to follow these steps using the LDRA tool suite on your local machine and then upload the generated files here.
