Project 2 - V&V SW Analysis II

As per teachers told in the live sessions i uploadded only the procedure . Because LDRA tool is not working

1 Ensure that LDRA Workarea is properly set up and configured for your project.

  • Open the LDRA tool and load the project containing "Testrain.c" into the workspace
  • Navigate to the file "Testrain.c" within the LDRA workspace.
    • Check if the code follows a consistent coding style.
    • Ensure that the code structure adheres to the coding standards and guidelines.
    • Verify that all variables are properly declared and used.
    • Ensure correct data types, scope, and naming conventions.
    • Ensure that the code is well-commented for better understanding.
    • Confirm that comments accurately describe the purpose of functions and complex sections.
    • Examine the control flow of the code.
    • Check for proper use of loops, conditionals, and switches.
    • Verify that error handling mechanisms are in place.
    • Check if error codes and messages are meaningful and properly documented.
    • Ensure that functions are called correctly with the appropriate arguments.
    • Check for potential issues related to function returns.
    • Check for proper memory allocation and deallocation.
    • Identify potential memory leaks or buffer overflows.
  • Use LDRA tools for automated static analysis.
  • Address any issues flagged by the static analysis tools.
  • Utilize LDRA to generate a detailed code review report.
  • The report should include identified issues, recommendations, and any automated tool findings
  • step 1: start LDRA TBrun. step 2: From the LDRA page select source->single file->LDRA_workarea->examples->C_Testbed_examples->Testrain->Testrain.c->open.(in log view all the files will run) step 3: sequence->new->give any name(S1)& select code coverage-> continue. step 4: source->run static analysis step 5: results->test manager report(report will be opened in Internet like a pdf)(there we can see our sequence name and what type of test we did)

    • Launch TBExtreme, the test case design and execution tool.
    • Create test suites to organize your test cases. You may have different test suites for manual and automated tests.
    • Manually create test cases by defining test scenarios, inputs, expected outputs, and steps to execute.
    • Associate these test cases with the appropriate test suite.
    • Utilize TBExtreme's automation capabilities to generate test cases automatically.
    • Configure test parameters, inputs, and expected outputs.
    • Execute both manually and automatically created test cases to ensure they work as expected.
    • Analyze the results of test case executions. Identify and document any failures or deviations from expected behavior.
    • Use TBExtreme to generate comprehensive test reports that include information on test coverage, pass/fail status, and any issues encountered
  • step 1: start LDRA TBrun.
  • step 2: From the LDRA page select source->multiple file->select/create set (multi)->create->system->add the .c files->click ok-> it ask run LDRA tested analysis (No)
  • step 3: configure->analysis configuration options->static options->finc/create->example->c_tbrun-examples->again examples->.c files->select
  • step 4: macros->find/create->Examples->c_tbrun_examples-examples-> select.(finally give apply and OK)
  • step 5: source-> run static Analysis
  • step 6: result->test manager report(report will be opened in Internet like a pdf)(there we can see our sequence name and what type of test we did)
