Project 2 - Supply and Demand Gap Analysis
Aim: -
The aim of this project is to collect and analyze the data in detail of the Pickup point of the Airport and City Request id, Number of requests received, Trip completed by drivers, cancelled by drivers and finally to find the demand of cars and drivers to completed all the requests.
Introduction: -
Uber is the Private transport cab industry which is booked by the people for a travel within the city and out of the city. It gets operated by booking the cab using the application provided by the Uber for every single booking request id is generated and these data will be stored in database.
Based on the requested ID it will be assigned to the driver using his Driver ID, the driver will make the trip complete or will cancel depends on the work load. Now, we have the data of Uber for June 2016 as number of requests received, cancelled trips and Completed trips, we are analysed and will fetch the better insights.
Problem Statement: -
The Trip is getting cancelled due to car unavailable, drivers work load and driver unavailability. Analysis the requirement of cars and drivers to complete all the trips booked by the Customers
Methodology: -
Methods to analyse Data
Step1: Raw Data Collection and Cleaning the Data
The required data are collected and the data are shaped by removing the unnecessary columns, renaming the columns, promoting the column headers, changing the column data type, null values are replaced by 0 and column quality & distributions are increased by removing the anonymous data.
Step 2: Modelling the Data
The required relationships between the tables are created, total trips completed, cancelled trips and car unavailable are created as measures to analyse the total trips requested by the customers.
Step 3: Visualization
Using the Visualization pane, the respective charts are created to visualize the data to give the analysed report of the vaccination data.
Analysis (Data sheets pertaining to it): -
Data analysis report are listed below
- Supply and demand are analysed from given data which containing 6745 rows and 6 Columns.
- Trip Completed, Trip cancelled and trip cancelled due to car unavailable are represented as Cards to find the status of the request on the regular routine.
- Line charts represent the trip completion vs Cancelled and car unavailable per day.
- The trip cancelled and trip completed by each driver are listed using their driver ID and represented as area chart.
- Trip completion of each driver and their number of drivers used to complete the trips based on the request ID are analysed in percentage using the Donut Chart.
- Highest Booking of Cabs in a particular area and their status of their trips are concluded using the bar graphs.
- Trip cancellation of each driver and their number of drivers cancelled the trips based on the request ID are analysed in percentage using the Pie Chart.
- Higher pickup points based on the request are presented in bar graphs.
- The status of the pickup point by the drivers are presented by funnel.
- Total Trip booked using the request ID and trips completed analysed the cancelled trips.
Insights: -
We can see the current scenario of the trips by using each chart.
6745 requests are received,2831 trips are completed successfully.2650 trips are cancelled due to Car unavailability,1264 trips are cancelled due to driver work load.
3% of drivers completed 28% of trips from total of 68% of requests.
Maximum numbers of trips completed and cancelled from the pickup point is City and Minimum Cancellation of trip is from airport. Maximum number of requests is from airport more than 50% of the total requests.
41% of trips completed successfully,39% of trips cancelled due to car unavailability and 18% of trips are cancelled by drivers.
An Average of 550 trips are completed successfully, average of 250 trips are getting cancelled by drivers and 500 trips are cancelled due to car unavailability.
Recommendations: -
- Car demand is 39% of the total request and it need to be increase in the cities.
- 18.7% of the drivers cancelled the trip, so 3% of drivers need to be increase.
- Finally, 39% of car is in demand and 3% driver supply is needed.
Conclusion: -
In Conclusion, we can take look at the Dashboard for further Analysis.
According to analysis, The Maximum request from particular pickup point, Maximum trips completed and cancelled by drivers, Demand of cars and drivers are analysed to increase is given as recommendations.
